Coral Reefs

For our cause project Megan Denbleyker and I decided to focus on coral reefs. Although they may not seem important coral reefs are an extremely important part of our ecosystem. Coral reefs benefit humans in many ways that people do not even realize. For example, coral reefs protect shores from the impact of powerful waves, they provide humans with certain foods and medicines, and they attract tourists to areas where the corals flourish. Although there are many problems in our environment nowadays that should be addressed, the issue of coral reefs is a very important one. Coral reefs also give homes to hundreds of thousands of sea life, so if coral reefs were to become extinct it would become a huge problem for sea life and all other organisms of the world.
