Coral Bleaching
Life without coral reefs would be completely different then it is today. Coral reefs are dying throughout the entire world from many different causes such as overfishing, global climate change, coastal development, and pollution. If these things continue coral reefs will become extinct in no time. The major cause of these coral reefs dying out is coral bleaching. Due to the elevated temperatures of the sea from global climate change is causing the coral reefs to become bleached. Although coral bleaching has always been a slight problem there has been a mass coral bleaching problem on a huge scale recently and it is causing the number of coral reefs to decline. Pollution, high UV radiation levels, and cooling or warming of the waters where the coral live are huge factors of coral bleaching. Now that these things have become more common so has the coral bleaching and it has to stop.
Coral Reefs
For our cause project Megan Denbleyker and I decided to focus on coral reefs. Although they may not seem important coral reefs are an extremely important part of our ecosystem. Coral reefs benefit humans in many ways that people do not even realize. For example, coral reefs protect shores from the impact of powerful waves, they provide humans with certain foods and medicines, and they attract tourists to areas where the corals flourish. Although there are many problems in our environment nowadays that should be addressed, the issue of coral reefs is a very important one. Coral reefs also give homes to hundreds of thousands of sea life, so if coral reefs were to become extinct it would become a huge problem for sea life and all other organisms of the world.

Matthew 25: Ministries Charity
After looking through the website for charities we decided to do the charity Matthew 25: Ministries. It is a charity that helps people in need in many different countries throughout the world. Almost all of the money that is raised by the Matthew 25: Ministries is donated to people in need. There is only a small percentage of money that is used for advertising expenses in order for the charity to increase its publicity. This charity also reuses products from major companies for basic necessities. I really liked this specific charity for a few reasons. I like the fact that it helps people in our own country as well as people across the world. I also like that they reuse and recycle old products and use them to benefit other people for their charity. Many charities only send a small percentage of their earnings to the actual people in need, but the Matthew 25: Ministries charity sends the majority of the money raised to people in need throughout the world.
